On March 28, 2016, the second “Art for Life” auction took place at the “Mystetskyi Arsenal”.

About 70 artists, both well-known masters and novices, took part in it. The artists realized that the auction was a great opportunity to reveal themselves to the world and find connoisseurs among the Ukrainian patrons.

The raised during the auction funds were used to buy two Flow-I anesthesia delivery systems manufactured by the Maquet Critical Care (Sweden).

Just like one year ago, these anesthesia delivery systems have been received by the leading center for the pediatric cardiology and cardiac surgery headed by the prominent surgeon Illia Yemets.

Flow-I systems are indispensable for operations in the first hours after a child’s birth, that’s actually the specialization sphere of the Center for Pediatric Cardiology and Cardiac Surgery. The system operates on the basis of a resuscitation machine for artificial ventilation of the lungs and allows to provide anesthesia, among other things, to patients with extremely low weight – below 2 kg. The specialists of the Center have already made more than 1,500 operations with use of the Flow-I system.
