THE GOAL: PURCHASE OF MODERN DIAGNOSTIC EQUIPMENT AND MEANS FOR INTENSIVE CARE FOR THE CENTER OF PEDIATRIC HEPATOLOGY BY THE INSTITUTE OF PEDIATRICS, OBSTETRICS AND GYNECOLOGY OF THE NATIONAL ACADEMY OF MEDICAL SCIENCES OF UKRAINE

Together with you, numerous philanthropists and Ukrainian artists, we continued our good tradition and held the fifth anniversary auction in March 2019.

The goal of the auction was to help the Center for Pediatric Hepatology, whose specialists perform diagnostics and treatment of the most complicated liver diseases. An accurate diagnosis is the prerequisite for the successful treatment of complicated liver diseases in children.

Objective: acquisition of advanced equipment for cardiac surgery for the Kiev Center for Pediatric Cardiology and Cardiac Surgery

On June 19, 2018, the fourth “Art for Life” auction took place.

More than 70 works were sold. For the funds raised from the sale of works of the artists, the foundation bought new equipment for the Illia Yemets Center for Pediatric Cardiology: a high-tech Heart-Lung Machine Flow Maquet HL 20.

It is namely such devices that made it possible to perform the most complex operations on the heart. During the operation, the machine actually performs the functions of the heart.

Objective: creation of a new department of post-intensive care and rehabilitation of premature babies on the basis of the Institute of Pediatrics, Obstetrics and Gynecology of the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine

On June 7, 2017, the third “Art for life” charity auction took place.

This time the goal of the project was to create a new unit for post-intensive care and rehabilitation of premature babies and babies with perinatal pathology on the basis of the Institute of Pediatrics, Obstetrics and Gynecology of the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine.

Objective: acquisition of two Flow-i anesthetic systems for the Kiev Center for Pediatric Cardiology and Cardiac Surgery.

On March 28, 2016, the second “Art for Life” auction took place at the “Mystetskyi Arsenal”.

About 70 artists, both well-known masters and novices, took part in it. The artists realized that the auction was a great opportunity to reveal themselves to the world and find connoisseurs among the Ukrainian patrons.

The raised during the auction funds were used to buy two Flow-I anesthesia delivery systems manufactured by the Maquet Critical Care (Sweden).

Objective: Purchase of EPIQ-7 ultrasound diagnostic apparatus and resuscitation facility for the Kiev Center for Pediatric Cardiology and Cardiac Surgery

The first “Art for Life” charity auction was held on May 19, 2015 at the “Mystetskyi Arsenal” in Kyiv. 80 works of the Ukrainian artists were sold.

70 leading Ukrainian artists and sculptors, invited by the  Borys Lozhkin Charitable Foundation, responded to this project and provided their works.

The raised funds made it possible to purchase a unique medical equipment for Ukraine, and already on August 25 the same year, Borys Lozhkin and his wife Nadiia Shalomova donated the equipment to the Kyiv Center for Pediatric Cardiology and Cardiac Surgery.
