Objective: Purchase of EPIQ-7 ultrasound diagnostic apparatus and resuscitation facility for the Kiev Center for Pediatric Cardiology and Cardiac Surgery

The first “Art for Life” charity auction was held on May 19, 2015 at the “Mystetskyi Arsenal” in Kyiv. 80 works of the Ukrainian artists were sold.

70 leading Ukrainian artists and sculptors, invited by the  Borys Lozhkin Charitable Foundation, responded to this project and provided their works.

The raised funds made it possible to purchase a unique medical equipment for Ukraine, and already on August 25 the same year, Borys Lozhkin and his wife Nadiia Shalomova donated the equipment to the Kyiv Center for Pediatric Cardiology and Cardiac Surgery.

The Center received the EPIQ-7 Phillips system. This state-of-the-art cardiologic ultrasound system has no analogues in the world for the accuracy of diagnosis of heart and vascular diseases. Its use makes it possible to perform a quality diagnosis to over 10,000 little patients every year, including those who are still in the mother’s womb.

The Center also received a resuscitation unit for newborns, which is used around the clock since that time. This unit allowed to create conditions for the recovery of babies after the most complex operations.
